Jack Kilbride

Vocalist

Born in Illinois and a graduate of the University of Illinois in Electrical Engineering, Jack sang in the Concert Choir at the U of I while a student there. He briefly took voice lessons from Metropolitan Opera audition finalist, William Stone, who was part of the University of Illinois opera workshop.

Following college Jack studied voice with Larry Malfatti in Pittsburgh, PA, with Edmond Leroy in St. Louis, and with Judith Hughes in Grove City, Pa. Jack continued to sing in various choirs participating in the Mendelsohn Choir of Pittsburgh and in the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay.

While raising his family, singing was laid aside for the last 20+ years. However he has now continued his studies under Blake Leopold at the Leopold School of Voice and Piano, where he has been for the last year. Jack just completed his first ever solo recital in May with an evening of American Classics, various Art Songs, and a tribute to Nat King Cole, Cole Porter, and Frank Sinatra.
