Jill Pratt

Pianist

Jill Emerson Pratt, pianist, is a Tampa native who found her passion early on and began to study the piano at age 9. By the time she was 12, Jill had begun to accompany her various school choruses and church ensembles, and she developed a love for sight reading and collaborating with other musicians.

Jill received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance while under the guidance of Robert McDonald at Florida Southern College. After her marriage to Eric Pratt, she pursued and received her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of South Florida under the tutelage of Mark Westcott.

Jill has directed church choirs, taught at the Gibbs Performing Arts magnet school, accompanied various college vocal classes, and has taught privately in her own studio.

Jill’s most important investments, however, have been as a Christ follower and mom. She has homeschooled several of her now grown children at various times, helping to guide them in their love for Christ, and has helped to lead worship at Oakwood Community Church for 22 years.
