Lauren Fucarino

Lauren Fucarino

Originally from West Virginia, Tampa has been "home" for Lauren Fucarino since the age of ten.  Lauren's love for music began at an early age.  She took voice and piano lessons throughout her childhood and began composing original music in high school.

During college, she continued to perform and train as a classical vocalist. While attending FSU, Lauren discovered a new passion for a type of work called music therapy.  She had always desired to use music as a way to help people in need, and so music therapy seemed to be the perfect career path for her.

Lauren pursued a bachelor’s degree in music therapy at FSU, graduated in 2005, and became a Board Certified Music Therapist in 2007.  She worked as a medical music therapist at UAB hospital in Birmingham, Alabama from 2007 to 2009. In 2008, Lauren started her own music therapy private practice, Music in Motion Studio, and worked with children with autism and special needs.  Lauren continued to pursue recording and performance opportunities while living in Alabama.  She performed with the Birmingham Opera in La Traviata in the spring of 2009.

In June of 2009, Lauren and her husband, Matt, welcomed their first daughter into their family.  Their second baby was born in December of 2011.  Lauren enjoys staying at home with her two little girls, while preparing for performances with Night of Classics.  Her family life is centered on faith in Christ, involvement in her local church, and a passion for international mission work.
